    Fad Diet: Be Cautious

    Fad diet are the ones that promote:

    1. Rapid weight loss.
    2. No need to exercise.
    3. Rigid meal and snack plans.
    4. Liquid diet.
    5. Unlimited amounts of some foods, severe restrictions of others.



                 How many times have you regained the weight you have already lost following a “fad diet”?? While the “fad diet” helps you lose weight in the short-term, it won’t help you keep the weight off for the long haul because it deprives the body of energy and nutrients needed for normal functions. So any rapid weight loss is mostly water and muscle loss. Therefore, in the majority of cases, people regain more weight than they have lost in the first place. This is called the “yo-yo syndrome” by health experts and it’s devastating to both the mind and the body.
